An important skill artists should know is how to combine different styles.It can be modern with traditional, 2 different mediums or even textures.
I have combined Pichwai Art and Doodling.
Pichwai Art originated about 400 years ago and usually depicts Lord Krishna. Other elements include lotuses and cows. This art is most popularly done in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
Doodling is modern art which includes abstract lines and designs that may or may not be done to compose an artwork.
To combine modern and traditional art one should follow these steps:
1.Analyse the different styles and imagine how they will look together.
2.If it looks good and it blends well, it's worth a try.
3.Draw a quick sketch and test it out.
4. Make the final piece.
The concept behind this artwork:
On May 25th, a pregnant cow's jaw was blown off by an explosive in Himachal Pradesh while it was grazing at a field. This was supposedly done by the owner's neighbour because he was angry.
